Lyon College has named Shelden Struble as head men's wrestling coach, athletic director Kevin Jenkins announced.

Struble brings coaching experience across the NAIA, NCAA Division II, high school and club levels. He most recently served as an assistant at Siena Heights University, where he helped guide the Saints to a 5-3 dual meet record and assisted in the development of an NAIA national qualifier. Prior to Siena Heights, Struble worked as a graduate assistant at the University of Indianapolis, contributing to the recruitment and development of multiple NCAA Division II All-Americans and a national champion. He also gained coaching experience at Askren Wrestling Academy, Ringneck Wrestling Club and the J Robinson Intensive Wrestling Camps.

His previous head coaching experience came at Biggs High School in California, where he revitalized the program by growing the roster tenfold, guided the team to a third-place conference finish and qualified four wrestlers for the CIF Masters Tournament.

As a competitor at the University of Indianapolis, Struble was a four-year letterwinner, three-year team captain and three-time NCAA Division II national qualifier who finished his career with the third-most pins in program history. He was honored with the Michael Horton Award in 2019. A Bryan, Ohio, native, Struble earned a bachelor's degree in English from Indianapolis.
