Two-time NAIA All-American Hingano commits to King
Two-time NAIA All-American Kat Hingano is transferring from Southern Oregon to King University.
A native of Rio Linda, California, Hingano established herself as one of the NAIA's top upper-weight wrestlers during her time with the Raiders. She earned All-American honors in each of her first two collegiate seasons, most recently placing fourth at 180 pounds at the 2026 NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championships. Hingano won her first three matches to reach the semifinals before losing to Grand View's Andjela Prijovic. She rebounded to win in the consolation semifinals by pin over Siara Arrington of Ottawa before losing to Life U's Reka Busa for third. She also won two Cascade Conference titles.
Hingano joins a King program with one of the strongest traditions in women's collegiate wrestling. The Tornado have won four national team titles and produced numerous world team members and Olympians, including Olympic champion Sarah Hildebrandt.
King is coming off a seventh-place finish at the inaugural NCAA Women's Wrestling Championships and has also strengthened its lineup this offseason with another key addition. Zoey Lints, a transfer from Elmira, brings her own accomplished resume as a two-time All-American and three-time national qualifier.
