Iowa State adds NAIA All-American Craft

The Iowa State women's wrestling program has added its third commitment in a matter of days, continuing a strong early push in building its roster.

Campbellsville transfer Makennah Craft announced on Instagram that she will join the Cyclones. She becomes the latest addition to a growing class that also includes recent commits Piper Fowler and Christianah Ogunsanya, both NAIA national champions who transferred from William Penn.

Craft is coming off an impressive freshman campaign in which she placed third at the NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championships at 103 pounds.

Before her collegiate career, Craft was one of the nation's top high school recruits. She captured four Ohio state titles at Jackson High School and compiled a record of 126-0, won an Ironman title and finished as a Fargo runner-up.

Craft also considered Kent State, another emerging Division I women's wrestling program preparing for its inaugural season.
