Norman commits to Oklahoma State

Lorenzo Norman is headed to Stillwater.

The Stanford transfer announced Thursday on social media that he will be joining Oklahoma State, giving the Cowboys another impact wrestler through the portal. Norman missed most of this past season due to injury, but he showed plenty of promise the previous season, qualifying for the 2025 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships at 174 pounds as a redshirt freshman. He finished that season with a 21-6 record.

He becomes David Taylor's second transfer pickup of the offseason, joining former South Dakota State All-American Bennett Berge.

Norman only wrestled twice this past season, splitting a pair of matches in December. His loss came against eventual two-time national champion Levi Haines, while his win was a first-period pin over North Dakota State's Tyler Secoy.

During his redshirt season in 2023-24, Norman posted a 9-7 record and picked up a notable win over Shane Griffith, who went on to finish third at the NCAAs and capped his career as a four-time All-American and national champion.
