Three-time NCAA qualifier Peterson commits to Iowa

Dean Peterson is headed to Iowa.
Peterson, a three-time NCAA qualifier at 125 pounds for Rutgers, entered the transfer portal last week. On Friday, he announced via Instagram that he will be a Hawkeye.
Peterson reached the round of 12 for the second time in his career this past season. He picked up several notable wins this past season, including a pin over 2024 NCAA champion Richard Figueora and a 4-1 win over freshman All-American Luke Lilledahl of Penn State.
He is the third notable pickup for Iowa via the transfer portal over the past two weeks. Last week, Iowa added Nasir Bailey and Jordan Williams from Little Rock.
