Moorman out as King women's wrestling coach

A legendary women's wrestling coach is out at King University, just two weeks before the start of the 2024-25 college wrestling season.

Jason Moorman, who led the King women's wrestling program to four national championships in 15 seasons, is no longer employed by King University. His name has been removed from the website. Gracie Figueroa, past national champion at Menlo, is the only coach listed for the King women's wrestling program.

During Moorman tenure at King, the program finished in the top three at the national championships 11 times, with their four WCWA national titles coming consecutively from 2014 to 2017.

Moorman has been named WCWA National Coach of the Year four times. He has coached multiple Olympians, including 2024 Olympic gold medalist Sarah Hildebrandt, and several national champions.
