AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State heavyweight Yonger Bastida has been added to the 2024 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) All-Star Classic on Nov. 16. Bastida will be matched up against Ohio State's No. 3 Nick Feldman, who placed fifth at the NCAA Championships in March.

Iowa State will now be represented by two wrestlers at the event as Bastida joins Evan Frost (133) on the card. The All-Star Classic will begin at 6 p.m. (CT) inside Rec Hall on the campus of Penn State.

Bastida and Feldman both enter the 2024-25 season ranked in the top 10 by FloWrestling, Bastida at No. 6 and Feldman No. 3.

The two met early in the 2023-24 season with Bastida earning a 13-5 major decision en route to a Cliff Keen Invitational title.

Bastida, entering his final season as a Cyclone, compiled a 26-2 record last season with both losses occurring on Friday of the NCAA Championships. Feldman, a redshirt sophomore, tallied a 29-8 record and a fifth-place NCAA finish in his first season of competition for the Buckeyes.

Frost and Bastida are the fourth and fifth Cyclones since 2009 to be selected for the event and the first since David Carr and Kysen Terukina competed in 2022.

The NWCA All-Star Classic can be viewed only on FloWrestling and will feature 10 highly ranked Division I folkstyle matchups along with 5 cross-divisional women's freestyle matches.
