Elizabethtown cruises to blowout win at Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa. -- By the 174 bout, the Elizabethtown College wrestling team had Friday night's dual at Scranton well in hand as the Blue Jays cruised to a 45-3 win to move to 2-0 on the season.

The night began with Ethan Liptzin's tech fall at 125 as Elizabethtown (2-0) went up 5-0 right away. Braden Schuyler won by forfeit at 133 for the Jays.

Scotty Reagan and Shane Strausser went major decision, tech fall for Etown at 141 and 149 to make it 15-0, then 20-0.

Gavin Fehr pinned Aidan Veirun at 3:37, one of two wins by fall for the Blue Jays in the match. Brian Schneider followed Fehr's win at 157 with a 12-8 decision at 165.

Will Davis and Trai Roland each won by tech fall to make it four by TF on the night for EC. Dylan Waller also won via fall for Elizabethtown.

The Blue Jays won't compete for the remainder of November as they prepare for their first home tournament of the season, the Blue Jay Classic at the Bowers Center on Saturday, December 2.
